Already very popular in the United States, ultimate dodgeball is now coming to France. A fun, playful adaptation of the children’s game we all played at school, it gives a new dimension to dodgeball, turning it into a real competitive sport. Here’s a quick look at an activity that’s sure to make you soar.

Where does ultimate dodgeball come from?

It’s impossible to talk about ultimate dodgeball without taking a step back into childhood. And yes, this intense competitive sport does indeed have its origins in the playground. Here’s a quick reminder about dodgeball and its rules. 2 teams, 1 ball, a field divided into zones and you’re ready to play a game.

Aim of the game: hit your opponents with a ball to take the whole team prisoner. Once all your opponents have been taken prisoner, you’ve won.

How does ultimate dodgeball work?

The dodgeball has bounced back with the creation of ultimate dodgeball. Trampolines are also part of the game. Players battle it out for 4 intense minutes. Several balls are thrown in to spice things up. Balance and precision are required to win the game.

A fun and entertaining sport, ultimate dodgeball is now the subject of a league in the United States.

Where can you play ultimate dodgeball in France?

If you want to try your hand at this new sport, there’s only one place in France that offers it: the trampolinepark in Bordeaux. Created at the end of 2014, it offers a friendly, modern setting for practising all types of sport in an original way: on trampolines!
