Pass and go handball

As well as being particularly physical and dynamic, handball is a sport that requires tactics and reflection. As well as dexterity and speed, it’s essential to be able to analyse the situation on the pitch and make the right decisions at the right time.

Summary :

In the team, this strategy is implemented as part of an attack, either when the ball is put in play or when approaching the goal.

Setting up Passe-et-va handball

As the name suggests, it’s all about passing and moving forward. This allows you to keep the ball in your team’s possession, while optimising space to counter opposing defences.

This tactic requires two players. The first, in possession of the ball, advances towards the goal, which usually involves a blocking defence. In this case, another player takes up a position further forward on the pitch, whereupon the first player can pass to him, diverting the defenders’ attention. He then takes advantage of the opportunity to go round and advance without the ball, which he later recovers from the second player.
