How long was the longest boxing match in history?

At one time, boxing matches were not limited to 12 rounds. They ended when one of the boxers could no longer fight, either by giving up or by knocking out… This led to some interminable fights, if you can believe it…

Summary :

Longest boxing match

In 1893, Bowen and Burke fought for the world lightweight championship. The fight lasted 110 rounds or 7h19min. At the start of the 111th round, neither boxer got up to fight. Ironically, there was no winner and the fight was classified as a “no contest”: as if the match had never taken place!
