In Judo, which belt represents the highest rank?

Careful, there’s a catch! Judge for yourself.

Most international Judokas close their Kimono with a black belt. Yet this is not the most important rank. In fact, the highest distinction has only been awarded to one man: Jigoro Kano, the founder of Judo.

This belt was wider and … white!

White, like that of the beginner’s belt, chosen symbolically to affirm that you’ve never learned everything.
