What is Flow in sport?

Judging by the image, Roger Federer has an excellent flow. But what exactly are we talking about if we’re not talking about rap?

Summary :

Definitions of flow

In the world of rap, flow refers to the cadence of the words spoken by the singer. But what about sports?

In positive psychology, it is characterised as the optimal state of performance achieved by a person immersed in an activity.

Flow in sport

Although little known to the general public, flow is sought after by all top-level athletes! It helps athletes achieve a perfect balance between the demands of the situation, their overall potential and their confidence.

Often described as a “little cloud”, this state of grace carries the athlete through every action. It makes everything easier and mistakes are almost non-existent!
Right Roger?
